Energy Efficiency Partners

Reducing energy use in homes is the reason for CSG’s existence and means that we interface daily with hundreds of energy efficiency professionals who complement our own field staff. We’re in touch and connected, and we’re listening. At all levels of the organization, CSG employees are actively involved in dozens of national, regional, and state and trade associations from ACCA to Efficiency First.

CSG supports contractors, trade allies and other professionals to help fulfill our mission as a nonprofit organization. CSG’s trade ally support teams recruit, train, and support contractors working within our clients’ existing programs (e.g., establishing networks of certified HVAC technicians). This means that we help you too, if you’re an energy efficiency professional. Some of the many services we provide include:

Technical Training: Flexibility with You in Mind

We design, develop, and produce custom trainings for energy efficiency contractors. Take advantage of CSG’s best in class training and earn BPI CEUs, to keep your technical performance current and improve program success. Opportunities range from classroom courses to highly engaging online learning and video. Proctoring services are also available. Courses include:

• e-Learning classes (online BPI training, on-demand)
• Energy contractor training programs facilitated through our clients and programs

Applied Building Science: Expert Guidance

CSG has a long tradition of promoting efficiency through the broader perspective of building performance and the “house as a system” / “whole-house” approach to retrofitting homes. Our in-house building science technical experts guide and inform CSG’s program design and delivery. This team of industry leaders has direct experience in many thousands of houses, and has provided technical guidance that covers installations in millions of homes. We bring all this experience to support our programs in multiple ways including:

CSG developed a Quality Assurance system that helps our program inspectors provide consistent feedback to contractors, and that pinpoints where improvements are needed.
